The Party Continues: Day Three Recap

The Party Continues: Day Three Recap

Remember what we said at the start of the week? Snow Machine is a marathon, not a sprint. We’re not sure some of you got that memo (yes, you!), but hey, we did also say that we expected DAY ONE ENERGY all week. And that, you well and truly have down! With only one more day to ski the slopes and drop it like it’s hot in Queenstown, let’s make it one to remember. But first, who’s ready to rewind it back to yesterday? Day three memories loading👇

Let’s roll this one out in reverse order, because, well, we feel like the main stage deserves to be right up front and centre! The sun was shining as Sweet Mix Kids kicked the party off with great vibes and even greater outfits. And, how about that insane mountain backdrop? Next the Coterie brothers took to the stage with their dad on the drums and had the mellow sing-a-longs in check. Not only did the legends fly 30 hours from London to be with us, but they even gave us the first listen of a new song and we can confirm it was 🔥

There’s just something about talented siblings, as Broods followed suit with stellar energy and another sing-inducing set. As the sun went down, Neil Frances captivated the crowd and turned the energy up a notch. Then Kiwi pop icon Benee absolutely RULED the stage, dropping banger after banger in her effortlessly cool kind of way. Leaving the buzzing crowd (you legends) ready to dance the night away as the one and only Peking Duk threw it down. Shoey and all! To close out an insane day, our kween, Jimi, was back for one final show. And a show it was!

Friday marked the famous ‘Retro Day’ up the mountains. And we were absolutely fizzing to see so many of you donning weird and wonderfully bright ski onesies. Nostalgia was in the air. The combination of your get-ups, and the music pumping at the mountain-top stages once again kept the good vibes vibing all day long. Performances from both Hayden James at the Après Chalet and Northeast Party House at First Base had us all sending it like no one’s business. Just how we like it.

Earlier in the day we took it right back to the 1970’s in St Moritz with a Swiss Alps-style long lunch en-piste! With two separate events at Coronet Peak, the first, a celebratory lunch for our fabulous artists, and second, a sell-out for those of you lucky enough to snatch tickets. The exclusive ski-in-ski-out hütte made for an elegant afternoon where a delicious feast was enjoyed and jeroboams of Champagne were toasted – all while the magical views of Coronet Peak glistened below. Bucket list stuff ✅
